Ziti

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula.
  6. Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti pasta on the bottom.
  8. Spread half of the meat sauce on top of the pasta.
  9. Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Repeat layers with remaining pasta, meat sauce, and cheeses.
  11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove aluminum foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly on top.
  13. Serve hot and enjoy!
