Ziti
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti pasta on the bottom.
- Spread half of the meat sauce on top of the pasta.
- Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining pasta, meat sauce, and cheeses.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove aluminum foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly on top.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
