Zesty Orange Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken in the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the skillet with the chicken and stir to combine. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
- Remove from heat and let the chicken rest in the sauce for a few minutes.
