Zatar Bread

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and warm water. Then, pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a large circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix together the zatar seasoning and olive oil. Spread this mixture over the rolled out dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.
  6. Starting from one end, roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the ends to seal the zatar mixture inside.
  7. Place the rolled dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
