Zatar Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup zatar seasoning
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil and warm water. Then, pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a large circle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a separate small bowl, mix together the zatar seasoning and olive oil. Spread this mixture over the rolled out dough, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.
- Starting from one end, roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the ends to seal the zatar mixture inside.
- Place the rolled dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
