Zabaglione

  1. In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Place the bowl over a pot of gently simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
  3. Continue to whisk the egg mixture while slowly pouring in the marsala wine and vanilla extract.
  4. Continue to whisk until the mixture becomes thick and creamy, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and continue to whisk for another minute.
  6. Divide the zabaglione into serving dishes and top with whipped cream and fresh berries, if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
