Zabaglione
Ingredients:
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup marsala wine
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Fresh berries (optional)
Instructions:
- In a heatproof bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Place the bowl over a pot of gently simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
- Continue to whisk the egg mixture while slowly pouring in the marsala wine and vanilla extract.
- Continue to whisk until the mixture becomes thick and creamy, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and continue to whisk for another minute.
- Divide the zabaglione into serving dishes and top with whipped cream and fresh berries, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
