Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift the dry ingredients into the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
- Stir in the melted butter and milk until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is still warm, carefully roll it up in the parchment paper and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
