Yolk-free Omelette
Ingredients:
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc.)
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter or cooking spray
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, beat the egg whites with a fork until well combined.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add butter or cooking spray.
- Once the butter is melted or the skillet is coated with cooking spray, pour in the beaten egg whites.
- Using a spatula, spread the egg whites evenly in the skillet.
- Sprinkle the chopped vegetables and shredded cheese on one half of the egg whites.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Using the spatula, carefully fold the other half of the egg whites over the vegetables and cheese.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the bottom is golden brown.
- Using the spatula, carefully flip the omelette and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer the omelette to a plate and serve hot.
