Yellow Rice

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water.
  2. Add in the olive oil, salt, turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Stir well to evenly distribute the spices.
  4. Bring the rice to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan with a lid.
  5. Let the rice cook for about 18 minutes, or until the water is fully absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat and let the rice sit for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
