Yeast Rolls

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, warm milk, salt, and beaten eggs.
  3. Add yeast mixture to the mixing bowl and mix well.
  4. Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Dough should be smooth and slightly sticky.
  5. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a dish towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal balls. Place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  8. Cover again and let rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  10. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter, if desired.
