Yeast Bread
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
- Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf into a greased bread pan.
- Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes, until it turns golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let the bread cool before slicing and serving.
