Yams
Ingredients:
- 4 medium yams
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Wash and peel the yams. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the saucepan. Stir until well combined.
- Place the yam cubes in a large bowl and pour the brown sugar mixture over them. Toss until the yams are evenly coated.
- Transfer the yams to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the yams are tender.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
