  1. In a large bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sugar, garlic, and green onions.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and stir to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread chicken pieces onto soaked bamboo skewers.
  5. Grill skewers for 6-7 minutes on each side, brushing with marinade occasionally, until chicken is fully cooked.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Yakitori!
