Yaki Udon

  1. Prepare udon noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sake or sherry, and black pepper to make the sauce. Set aside.
  3. In a large pan or wok, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and stir fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add sliced meat and continue to stir fry until cooked through.
  5. Add the sliced vegetables and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  6. Add the cooked udon noodles and sauce to the pan. Stir fry until everything is well coated and heated through.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
