Xmas Cookies

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Slowly add in the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Stir in red and green sprinkles to give the cookies a festive touch.
  6. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
