Xmas Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add in egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until well combined.
- Slowly add in the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Stir in red and green sprinkles to give the cookies a festive touch.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
