- 1/2 cup minced bamboo shoots
- 1/4 cup minced green onion
- 1/4 cup minced ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, minced bamboo shoots, green onion, ginger, and garlic.
- Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, and salt to the pork mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add a small spoonful of the pork mixture to the center of the wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges of the wrapper together to seal the dumpling. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings to the boiling water and cook for 5 minutes.
- While the dumplings are cooking, heat the chicken broth in a separate pot.
- Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked dumplings to a steamer basket. Place the steamer basket on top of the pot with the heated chicken broth and steam for an additional 5 minutes
