Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) Recipe

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, minced bamboo shoots, green onion, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, and salt to the pork mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add a small spoonful of the pork mixture to the center of the wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to create a half-moon shape. Pinch the edges of the wrapper together to seal the dumpling. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Carefully add the dumplings to the boiling water and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. While the dumplings are cooking, heat the chicken broth in a separate pot.
  6. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the cooked dumplings to a steamer basket. Place the steamer basket on top of the pot with the heated chicken broth and steam for an additional 5 minutes
