Xalapa-style Coffee
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of ground coffee
- 1 1/2 cups of water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the ground coffee and cinnamon stick to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and let the coffee simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the coffee into a mug or carafe.
- In another saucepan, heat the heavy cream and brown sugar on medium heat. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Pour the sweetened cream into the coffee and stir well.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Xalapa-style coffee.
