Wontons
Ingredients:
- 1 package of wonton wrappers
- 1 pound of ground pork
- 1 cup of shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup of chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, shredded cabbage, chopped green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Using your finger, wet the edges of the wrapper with water. Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper diagonally in half, pressing the edges together to seal. Then, bring the two opposite corners together and press to seal. Repeat for the remaining wonton wrappers and filling.
- In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully fry the wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce. Enjoy your homemade wontons!
