Walnut Brownies

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set aside.
  4. In the same mixing bowl as the melted butter, add in the sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Add in the eggs, one at a time, and mix until well combined.
  6. Slowly add in the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
