Vegan Brownies

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray or vegan butter.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in the vegetable oil, applesauce, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the brownies cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving.
