Vanilla Pudding
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and butter until well combined.
- Pour the pudding into serving dishes and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Cover with plastic wrap, making sure the wrap touches the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Serve with whipped cream or fresh fruit on top, if desired.
