Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- If desired, add in any mix-ins such as chocolate chips or chopped nuts during the last 5 minutes of churning.
- Once churned, transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften.
