Vanilla French Toast
Ingredients:
- 6 slices of thick white bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp butter
- Maple syrup (optional)
- Fresh berries (optional)
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
- Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Place the coated bread slices in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter to the skillet and repeat with the remaining bread slices.
- Serve the French toast hot with maple syrup and fresh berries, if desired.
