Unicorn Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, until well combined.
  7. Divide the batter evenly into three separate bowls.
  8. Add a few drops of pink food coloring to one bowl, a few drops of purple to another, and a few drops of blue to the last bowl. Stir until the color is evenly distributed.
  9. Pour each colored batter into the prepared cake pan, starting with pink, then purple, and finally blue.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
