Unicorn Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- Food coloring (pink, purple, blue)
- Whipped cream
- Sprinkles
- Gel food coloring (black)
- Edible glitter
- Gold edible stars
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, until well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly into three separate bowls.
- Add a few drops of pink food coloring to one bowl, a few drops of purple to another, and a few drops of blue to the last bowl. Stir until the color is evenly distributed.
- Pour each colored batter into the prepared cake pan, starting with pink, then purple, and finally blue.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
