Unagi Sushi
Ingredients:
- 1 unagi fillet, cooked and sliced
- 1 cup sushi rice
- 1 sheet of nori (seaweed)
- 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cucumber, sliced
- 1 tsp wasabi
- Soy sauce, for serving
Instructions:
- Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.
- Once cooked, add the seasoned rice vinegar to the rice and mix well. Let it cool to room temperature.
- Place the nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat with the shiny side facing down.
- Spread a thin layer of rice on top of the nori, leaving about an inch gap at the top.
- Add the sliced unagi fillet, avocado, and cucumber in a line in the center of the rice.
- Using the sushi mat, roll the nori tightly, pressing down gently to ensure the ingredients are held together.
- Dip your finger in water and wet the top edge of the nori to seal the roll.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the sushi roll into 6-8 pieces.
- Serve with wasabi and soy sauce on the side.
