Tostadas
Ingredients:
- 8 corn tortillas
- 1 lb ground beef or chicken
- 1 can of refried beans
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a pan, cook the ground beef or chicken over medium heat until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a separate pan, heat the refried beans over medium heat until warm.
- In a shallow pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the corn tortillas until crispy, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Spread a layer of refried beans on each tostada.
- Add a layer of the cooked ground beef or chicken on top of the beans.
- Top with shredded cheese and place in a preheated oven at 400°F for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and top with diced avocado, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately as a delicious and crunchy meal!
