Tostadas

  1. In a pan, cook the ground beef or chicken over medium heat until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a separate pan, heat the refried beans over medium heat until warm.
  3. In a shallow pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the corn tortillas until crispy, about 1-2 minutes on each side. Place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  4. Spread a layer of refried beans on each tostada.
  5. Add a layer of the cooked ground beef or chicken on top of the beans.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and place in a preheated oven at 400°F for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from oven and top with diced avocado, shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, and cilantro.
  8. Serve immediately as a delicious and crunchy meal!
