  1. In a large pot, combine chicken broth, coconut milk, lemongrass, ginger, onion, garlic, red chili, and tomato. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add mushrooms and chicken/tofu. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and tofu is heated.
  3. Stir in fish sauce, lime juice, and brown sugar.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
