Stir Fry

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, cornstarch, sugar, red pepper flakes (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over high heat.
  3. Add the chicken or beef and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the garlic, onion, and red bell pepper. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes until slightly softened.
  5. Add the broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and snow peas. Stir fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. Return the chicken or beef to the skillet and mix with the vegetables.
  7. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the stir fry and stir until all ingredients are coated.
