Spaghetti

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water.
  2. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the pasta is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
  7. Once the beef is fully cooked, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and basil to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  8. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it in a colander and add it to the skillet with the sauce.
  11. Stir the pasta and sauce together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3
