Shrimp Scampi
Ingredients:
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Step 1: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Step 2: Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Step 3: Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until pink.
- Step 4: Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Step 5: In the same skillet, add white wine, chicken broth, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
- Step 6: Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the liquid has reduced by half.
- Step 7: Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Step 8: Add shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Step 9: Remove from heat and garnish with parsley or basil.
- Step 10: Serve hot with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
