Shortbread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and powdered sugar.
- Add in the softened butter and vanilla extract. Using a hand mixer, mix until the dough comes together. If the dough seems too dry, add a tablespoon of water at a time until it comes together.
- Press the dough into a greased 9 inch pan.
- Poke holes in the dough with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing into wedges.
