Quinoa Porridge
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup quinoa
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup milk (of your choice)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Toppings of your choice (berries, nuts, honey, etc)
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, rinse quinoa under cold water until water runs clear.
- Add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
- In a separate saucepan, heat milk, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Once quinoa is cooked, add it to the milk mixture and stir to combine.
- Let simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve into bowls and add desired toppings.
