Quiche Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 cup diced mushrooms
- 1 cup diced zucchini
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the onions, peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini to the skillet. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly softened.
- Add the salt and pepper to the skillet, and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, thyme, and garlic powder.
- Add the cooled vegetable mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
- Spread the shredded cheese onto the bottom of the pie crust. Pour the egg and vegetable mixture over the cheese.
- Bake the quiche for 35-40 minutes, until the center is set and the top is lightly browned.
- Let the quiche cool for 5 minutes before serving.
