Poached Eggs

  1. Fill a pot with water and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to the water and stir.
  3. Crack each egg into a small bowl or cup.
  4. Using a spoon, create a gentle whirlpool in the water.
  5. Slowly pour the eggs, one by one, into the whirlpool in the pot.
  6. Let the eggs cook for about 3 minutes for a soft yolk, or longer if you prefer a firmer yolk.
  7. Using a slotted spoon, carefully remove the eggs from the water and place them on a paper towel to drain excess water.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve the poached eggs over toast, with avocado, or on their own for a simple and delicious breakfast.
