Pesto Genovese
Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 3 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a food processor or blender, combine basil, garlic, and pine nuts. Blend until finely chopped.
- Add Parmesan cheese and blend until combined.
- Slowly pour in olive oil while blending, until a smooth paste forms.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with your favorite pasta, bread, or as a spread on sandwiches.
