Oysters on the Half Shell
Ingredients:
- 12 oysters, on the half shell
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Step 2: Clean the oysters by scrubbing them under cold water to remove any dirt or sand.
- Step 3: Place the oysters on a baking sheet and set aside.
- Step 4: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and parmesan cheese.
- Step 5: Spoon the butter mixture onto each oyster, making sure to cover each one evenly.
- Step 6: Season the oysters with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 7: Bake the oysters in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges of the oysters start to curl.
- Step 8: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a minute before serving.
- Step 9: Serve the oysters on the half shell on a platter with lemon wedges and hot sauce, if desired.
