Oven-Fried Chicken
Ingredients:
- 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Olive oil cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with olive oil cooking spray.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and oregano.
- In another shallow dish, pour the buttermilk.
- Dip the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk, and again in the flour mixture, making sure they are well coated.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with the vegetable oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crispy and golden brown.
