Orange Tofu

Instructions:

  1. Press tofu between paper towels or a clean dish towel to remove excess water. Cut tofu into cubes.
  2. In a shallow dish, add cornstarch and coat tofu cubes evenly.
  3. In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, add tofu cubes and cook until they are golden brown on all sides, about 5-6 minutes. Remove tofu from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add orange juice, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and orange zest. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add tofu back into the pan and stir to coat evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over rice and garnish with green onions.
