Orange Sorbet
Ingredients:
- 4 large oranges
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Peel the oranges and remove any white pith.
- Cut the oranges into small pieces and place them in a blender.
- In a small saucepan, mix together the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
- Add the sugar syrup and lemon juice to the blender with the oranges.
- Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow metal or glass dish and place it in the freezer.
- After 30 minutes, use a fork to scrape and mix the mixture, breaking up any ice crystals.
- Repeat this process every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours, until the sorbet is smooth and frozen.
- Serve the sorbet in bowls or glasses, garnished with mint leaves if desired.
