Orange Marmalade

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Wash the oranges and lemons, then slice them into thin rounds.
  2. In a large pot, combine the sliced oranges and lemons with the sugar and water.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. After 1 hour, use a potato masher or immersion blender to mash the fruit. This will release the pulp and create a thicker consistency.
  6. Continue to simmer the mixture for another hour, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and turns a deep orange color.
  7. Once the mixture is thick and syrupy, remove it from the heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Pour the orange marmalade into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace at the top.
  9. Seal the jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
  10. Enjoy your homemade orange marmalade on toast, pancakes, or as a topping for desserts!
