Orange Glazed Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
- Green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and black pepper. Coat the chicken strips evenly in the flour mixture.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and minced garlic.
- In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken strips and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the orange juice mixture and bring to a simmer. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water. Add it to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked chicken strips to the skillet and toss them in the orange glaze until fully coated.
- Serve the Orange Glazed Chicken over rice or with your choice of vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions
