Orange Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ¾ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until evenly browned and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, orange zest, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper.
- Add the sauce mixture to the skillet with the garlic and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet with the sauce and stir to coat.
- Serve the orange chicken over rice or noodles and enjoy!
