Onion Rings
Ingredients:
- 1 large onion
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- Peel and slice the onion into 1/4 inch rings.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate shallow dish, beat the egg and milk together.
- In a third dish, combine the bread crumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally the bread crumb mixture. Coat evenly.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated onion rings to the skillet.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious homemade onion rings!
