Onion Rings

  1. Peel and slice the onion into 1/4 inch rings.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, beat the egg and milk together.
  4. In a third dish, combine the bread crumbs, garlic powder, and paprika.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally the bread crumb mixture. Coat evenly.
  7. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated onion rings to the skillet.
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious homemade onion rings!
