Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Leave about 2 inches of space between each ball of dough.
- Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
