New York Style Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 packages (16 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 package (9 ounces) graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the sour cream and melted butter until well combined.
- Add in the flour and mix until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- In a separate bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter for the crust. Mix until well combined and press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Pour the cheesecake batter on top of the crust and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden and the center is set.
- Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) before serving
