Neapolitan Ice Cream

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mash the chopped strawberries until they become a chunky puree. Add the puree to the cream mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  3. In another bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stove. Once melted, mix in the cocoa powder until well combined.
  4. Pour half of the cream mixture into another large bowl. Pour the chocolate mixture into one bowl and stir until well combined.
  5. In the other bowl, add the remaining cream mixture and stir in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
  6. For a layered look, pour each mixture into a loaf pan, alternating between the chocolate and strawberry mixtures. Use a knife to swirl the layers together.
  7. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
  8. Once frozen, scoop the Neapolitan ice cream into bowls and serve!
