Neapolitan Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mash the chopped strawberries until they become a chunky puree. Add the puree to the cream mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
- In another bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stove. Once melted, mix in the cocoa powder until well combined.
- Pour half of the cream mixture into another large bowl. Pour the chocolate mixture into one bowl and stir until well combined.
- In the other bowl, add the remaining cream mixture and stir in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
- For a layered look, pour each mixture into a loaf pan, alternating between the chocolate and strawberry mixtures. Use a knife to swirl the layers together.
- Cover the pan with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
- Once frozen, scoop the Neapolitan ice cream into bowls and serve!
