Monkey Bread
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
- Add in melted butter and milk. Mix until a dough forms.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll dough into small balls and coat each ball in the brown sugar mixture.
- Place balls in a greased bundt pan, making sure to leave space in between each one.
- Pour melted butter over the top of the dough balls.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts over the top.
- Cover the pan with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise for about an hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the dough is fully cooked.
- Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before removing it from the pan.
