Mashed Potatoes

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into equally sized cubes.
  2. In a pot, cover the potatoes with water and add a pinch of salt.
  3. Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes until they are soft.
  4. Drain the water and return the potatoes to the pot.
  5. Using a potato masher or fork, mash the potatoes until smooth.
  6. In a separate small pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  7. Add the melted butter and milk to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious mashed potatoes!
