Margherita Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to desired size and thickness. Place onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, basil, olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the sauce mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the grated parmesan cheese.
- Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Top with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve.
