Margherita Pizza

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to desired size and thickness. Place onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, garlic, oregano, basil, olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spread the sauce mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the grated parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Top with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve.
