Lobster Mac and Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
- Add in the flour and stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Slowly pour in the milk and heavy cream, stirring constantly until well combined.
- Add in the shredded cheddar and Gruyere cheese, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the cooked macaroni and chopped lobster meat.
- Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish.
