Lo Mein
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of lo mein noodles
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup sliced cabbage
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the sliced carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms, and cabbage. Cook for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are slightly softened.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Pour into the skillet with the vegetables and stir to combine.
- Add the cooked lo mein noodles to the skillet and stir to coat them in the sauce and vegetables. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy your homemade lo mein!
