Linguine Alfredo

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
  2. Add linguine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes or until al dente.
  3. In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Slowly pour in heavy cream and stir to combine with the butter and garlic.
  5. Add grated parmesan cheese to the cream and butter mixture, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Drain the cooked linguine and add it to the pan with the alfredo sauce. Toss the linguine in the sauce until fully coated.
  8. Serve immediately and top with additional grated parmesan cheese if desired.
