Linguine Alfredo
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. linguine pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the water.
- Add linguine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes or until al dente.
- In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in heavy cream and stir to combine with the butter and garlic.
- Add grated parmesan cheese to the cream and butter mixture, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Drain the cooked linguine and add it to the pan with the alfredo sauce. Toss the linguine in the sauce until fully coated.
- Serve immediately and top with additional grated parmesan cheese if desired.
